Over the years as a Baltimore Family Photographer, I have collected a handful of specific frequently asked questions and decided to make a multipart series on the blog answering them. I hope this series of posts is helpful to families, as you are looking to book your next family session.

As you plan your family session, one of the biggest questions you might have is: How many images will I receive? As an established Baltimore family photographer, I want to ensure you’ll get a stunning collection of images that beautifully capture your special moments no matter how many total images you end up with.

What to Expect from Your Online Photo Gallery

For 60 minute sessions, you can typically expect a gallery of approximately 40-50 high-quality storytelling images. However, the exact number may vary based on several factors, including:

  • Session Length – The more time we have, the more moments we can capture. All sessions are up to 60 mins and that may mean we end a little early especially with little kiddos. Sessions are child led and sometime kiddos are done before the full time is up.
  • Family or Group Size – Larger family size may have a bigger grouping of photos since there are typically more individual images and more combos of groups that may be taken. When we do get the traditional shot or two, bigger groups like extended family sessions require a little more time for posing and coordination.
  • Location Choices – Some locations offer a bigger variety so we may opt to use some of these different options in our sessions time. Multiple locations may lead to more variety and ultimately this can impact total image count as well.

You may have read “storytelling images” and through to yourself, what does this mean? I’ll be breaking this down further in a future post. But ultimately, this is the style in which I shoot. My primary goal is to capture at least one photo of everyone smiling at the camera but ultimately, I am here to document your family and tell the story of this moment in time, exactly as you are.

Quality Over Quantity

While it’s natural to wonder about the number of images you’ll receive, I focus on delivering high-quality, beautifully edited, moments driven photographs that truly tell your family’s story. Each image is thoughtfully curated and professionally edited to ensure you get the best representation of your family during your session.
