Swan Harbor is one of those venues that feels like a hidden gem, even though it sits right along the water in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Tucked beside the Chesapeake Bay, it offers a blend of historic charm, sweeping lawns, and waterfront views that are hard to match. As a Baltimore wedding photographer, this is one of my favorite places to photograph!
The white brick manor house immediately sets the tone for the elegance & charm of the vibe. With its green shutters, classic columns, and symmetrical façade, it creates a timeless backdrop for your big day. The brick walkway leading to the front door is framed by manicured hedges and seasonal blooms. It feels polished without being overdone. If you’re a couple who loves a traditional aesthetic, this setting delivers elegance in a way that never feels manufactured.
One of the most striking features of Swan Harbor is the expansive property.
The ceremony space beneath the towering trees offers a sense of intimacy while still accommodating a large guest list. Guests are seated on the open lawn, surrounded by lush greenery and floral-lined aisles. The waterfront sits just beyond, adding depth and a soft coastal breeze. It is peaceful, scenic, and beautifully understated.
Basically: Swan Harbor is a dream venue for Baltimore wedding couples!
The reception tent overlooks the water and rolling grounds, which means golden hour portraits are effortless.
The property offers so much variety in one location. Manicured gardens and tall trees. Open fields, with a glimpse of the shoreline in the distance. Couples can move from classic manor portraits to romantic garden paths in minutes. As a wedding photographer, I can’t recommend it enough!
