As a wedding vendor, I love working at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. It’s truly a spectacular wedding venue with amazing staff. The staff at CBBC truly go above and beyond making sure the needs of their couples, guests and vendors are met. Aside from the incredible team, the beach club is STUNNING! They have really honed in on the beach coastal resort vibe that I absolutely love. The soft coastal color palette lends well to a wedding during any season of the year.
Today, I am sharing my top 5 reasons why it’s the perfect place to get married if you’re looking for a beachfront or waterfront Maryland Wedding Venue and why you should consider it.
All inclusive:
While it may not be fully all inclusive, the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is what I would consider to be an all inclusive wedding venue. Staff, coordinating, bar, catering, tables and chairs, ceremony chairs etc are all onsite. The things couples will need to focus on bringing to the venue are florals, decor, entertainment, photography and of course any additional venues that are providing a specific item or service the club doesn’t offer or is needed to fit a specific aesthetic.
A Destination Feel:
The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is situated just across the bay bridge on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Its sandy beach front coupled with the coastal beach resort vibe truly makes this venue feel like your far away from home. With western facing beaches the photo opportunities are endless. Sunset pictures at CBBC are truly to die for.
Not only is there beautiful golden hour and sunset photos opportunity there are plenty of non “beach” options as well – The courtyard at the inn, beautiful tall grass lined walkways, a stunning covered walkway which is amazing if it rains and beautiful grassy lawns if getting sand on your feet just isn’t your thing.
Beautiful Aesthetic:
The beach club has a beautiful craftsman style exterior which is stunning when captured in photos. They have really thought through the beautiful beach house vibe and brought it to life perfectly in the venue’s aesthetic. When it comes to portraits, sometimes avoiding a building completely is impossible so it’s nice when the structure itself can blend seamlessly into the vibe of your wedding day.
The Rain Plan:
I hate to admit this but many wedding venues just don’t have great plan B options in case of rain. I know no one wants to plan for the “R” work but venues with amazing rain options should get an extra point in the checklist.Luckily, the beach club has just this!
Recently, the beach club opened a 2nd story ceremony site with wall to wall windows and a gorgeous view of the bay. They really carried out the coastal resort vibes into this space. This is one of the best inclement weather onsite ceremony locations I have seen. Each of its venue spaces has a beautiful rain option for an indoor ceremony.
Between the Inn and the beach club there is also ample covered and indoor portraits space available. Covered porches, covered walkways, grand fireplaces, and of course the ceremony location above the sunset ballroom with its wall to wall windows.
What does all this mean?
If it rains, you are still left with stunning locations for indoor portraits and we might even be able to catch a little of the view.
The Inn:
To carry on that destination wedding coastal resort feel the Beach Club also offers on property accommodations with The Inn just down the road. The suits at The Inn make for a perfect getting ready location and easy room blocks for your guests. No worrying or thinking about which hotel you’ll select for your day.
