If I photographed your wedding, I hope you already know this, but I’d love to keep photographing your story.
Your wedding day is just one chapter. The years that follow are filled with chapters worth remembering too: first homes, first pets, growing families, and all the beautifully ordinary moments in between.
One of my favorite parts of being a Baltimore family photographer is getting to continue telling the stories that began on a wedding day.

Why I Still Want to Be Your Baltimore Family Photographer After the Wedding
There’s something really special about photographing the same people through different seasons of life.
One of my favorite parts of being both a Baltimore wedding photographer and Baltimore family photographer is that so many of my wedding couples eventually come back with little ones in tow. By then, we’re not strangers anymore. I already know how you interact, what makes you laugh, and how to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We get to pick up right where we left off.
Cyleena and Sam are the perfect example.
I first photographed their engagement session, then their wedding day at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House. A few years later, we met on the waterfront for family photos, this time with two little ones running around.
Before they were husband and wife, I photographed the beginning of their story. Then I documented them as a family of three. Now, as a family of four.
It’s not just about documenting milestones. It’s about preserving the people you become along the way. Truthfully, thats just something I will never get tired of.

What Comes After the Wedding, In My Experience
One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to see what comes next.
Sometimes it’s an anniversary session, just because life feels worth documenting. Sometimes it’s the phone call sharing a pregnancy, or a newborn session that introduces me to the newest member of the family. Before I know it, we’re chasing toddlers, celebrating birthdays, and making family photos that feel completely different than the ones we created years before.
Cyleena and Sam’s session last fall is the perfect example. No elaborate posing. No pressure to perform. Just two parents, two kids, sandy toes, full arms, and an evening on the waterfront together.
As a Baltimore family photographer, these are some of the moments I treasure most. Being invited back, not just for the wedding day, but for all the seasons that follow.

What a Family Session With Me Actually Looks Like
A family session with me isn’t about getting everyone to smile at the camera (although… there will be plenty of that naturally).
It’s about connection. It’s about creating space for your family to simply be together. I gently guide when it’s needed, but I also step back so your personalities, your relationships, and all of those little in-between moments have room to unfold naturally.
Whether were talking motherhood and milestones because your first baby is on the way or we’re planning your tenth family session with me, my goal never changes: to create photographs that feel like you.

Why Working With the Same Baltimore Family Photographer Over Time Is Worth It
When I already know your family, there’s an ease that comes with it. I’m not learning your kids’ personalities for the first time or helping you figure out what it feels like to be in front of my camera. We simply get to settle in and enjoy our time together.
One of the things I love most is looking back at a family’s photographs over the years and seeing their story unfold through a consistent perspective. Engagement photos. A wedding day. A newborn. Toddlers. Family sessions years later.
After their last session, Cyleena shared something I’ll never forget. She thanked me for documenting so many of their life’s milestones in a way they’ll enjoy forever.
That’s exactly why I do this.

A Few Honest Thoughts on This
Not every couple who trusts me with their wedding comes back for family photos, and that’s okay. Every life unfolds a little differently.
But if I’ve had the privilege of photographing your wedding, I hope you’ll think of me again someday. Whether you’re welcoming a new baby, planning your first family session, celebrating an anniversary, or simply wanting to document this season of life, I’d love to see you again.
There’s something incredibly special about watching families grow, not just through photographs, but through years of shared memories. It’s one of my favorite parts of this work.
If you’re looking for a Baltimore family photographer and we’ve already shared one chapter together, I’d be honored to photograph the next one too.

FAQs
Yes, absolutely. Many of my favorite ongoing relationships started with a wedding. As a Baltimore family photographer, I love continuing to document couples and families well beyond their wedding day.
Family sessions with me are relaxed and connection focused, not overly posed. When working with families with small children I take a child lead approach. I meet your family where they are, whether that means chasing toddlers or coaxing a shy teenager into the frame, and I look for the real, in-between moments rather than stiff smiles.
I recommend actually booking a newborn session during your 2nd trimester with the intention of photographing your session with in the 1st 2-4wk of life. This is when babies are still extra sleepy and curl up easily. These sessions are kept calm and unhurried, in the comfort of your home, and typically run two hours with flexibility for babies needs.
There’s no required schedule, and of course every family has a different budget for frequency of sessions. In the early years, 1-2x a year to capture how fast these tiny humans grow is perfect. As they get older, and those changes slow, a session ever 1-2 years may seem like a better fit. It’s less about whats the perfect timeline and more about capturing the season you’re in right now. Even if that chaos.
